An upscale shopping destination is set to open near Rome in late October, with developers confirming an investment of €100 million in the Roma Outlet Village project located in Sant’Oreste.
The new retail complex, spanning 21,000 square meters, will feature premium fashion and lifestyle brands and is expected to create approximately 800 jobs, including opportunities for workers from the nearby Rieti area.
Backed by Percassi, the Italian retail group known for managing international brands such as Nike, Adidas, and Lego, the outlet aims to attract both local consumers and tourists visiting the capital. The development is positioned as a strategic addition to Rome’s northern outskirts, targeting visitors seeking discounted luxury and contemporary apparel.
According to project officials, the Roma Outlet Village will operate as a purpose-built fashion hub, designed to complement existing retail offerings in the Lazio region while tapping into growing demand for experiential shopping near major urban centers.
The investment underscores continued confidence in Italy’s retail real estate sector, particularly in mixed-use destinations that combine shopping with leisure, and accessibility. Officials noted that the site’s proximity to Rome — combined with planned transport links — enhances its appeal as a day-trip destination for both domestic and international visitors.
While specific tenant lists have not been disclosed, sources indicate that the mix will include internationally recognized labels alongside emerging Italian designers, aligning with broader trends in outlet tourism across Europe.
The opening later this fall adds to a growing network of value-oriented retail parks serving metropolitan areas, reflecting evolving consumer preferences for branded goods at accessible price points in carefully curated environments.
