Details on Samsung’s upcoming mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57, have surfaced online just days before their expected launch. The new devices aim to continue the Galaxy A series’ tradition of offering large AMOLED displays, substantial battery life, and balanced specifications, while also introducing several key updates.
One confirmed change is the removal of microSD card support. Similar to last year’s models, internal storage will no longer be expandable.
Both phones will ship with Android 16 and One UI 8.5
The Galaxy A37 will be powered by the Exynos 1480 processor, a chipset previously used in other Samsung devices. It will be available with 6 or 8 GB of RAM, and storage options of 128 GB or 256 GB.
The device features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Its camera system includes a triple-lens setup on the rear: a 50 MP main sensor, a 12 MP ultrawide camera, and a 5 MP macro lens. The front-facing camera has a resolution of 12 MP.
A 5000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging will provide power. The Galaxy A57, meanwhile, boasts a new processor and faster connectivity.
The higher-finish model, the Galaxy A57, retains many of the hardware elements of its smaller counterpart. It shares the same 6.7-inch AMOLED display, camera configuration, and 5000 mAh battery.
The major difference lies in the processor. The Galaxy A57 utilizes the new Exynos 1680 and comes equipped with 8 GB of RAM. Storage options remain at 128 GB or 256 GB. The phone also offers more modern connectivity, supporting Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 6.0. In terms of design, the model is slimmer than the A37, measuring approximately 6.9 mm thick and weighing 192 grams.
According to information appearing online, the Galaxy A37 could start at around €439, while the Galaxy A57 is expected to begin at approximately €539. This translates to roughly 2,000 to 3,000 RON, depending on the model, and specifications.
