Samsung Electronics today announced its most advanced lineup of Odyssey gaming monitors to date, introducing five new models pushing the boundaries of resolution, refresh rates, and immersive visual performance. Leading the charge is the Odyssey G9 3D 6K, the world’s first 6K 3D monitor, alongside the next-generation Odyssey G6 and three new Odyssey G8 models. The new displays signal a growing trend toward more immersive and visually stunning gaming experiences.
“With the Odyssey lineup this year, we’re delivering viewing experiences that simply weren’t possible a year ago,” said Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics. “From the industry’s first glasses-free 6K 3D monitor to a revolutionary 1040Hz speed, we designed these monitors to meet the ambitions of today’s gamers and deliver a level of immersion that fundamentally transforms how content is seen and experienced on the screen.”
Odyssey 3D: The World’s First Glasses-Free 6K 3D Gaming Monitor

The 32-inch Odyssey 3D (model G90XH) introduces a new way to experience gaming on a monitor with the world’s first 6K screen featuring glasses-free 3D technology. Utilizing real-time eye-tracking, the system adjusts depth and perspective based on the viewer’s position, creating a sense of three-dimensional layers for a smooth and seamless gaming experience without the need for additional devices. Boasting a 6K resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate expandable to 330Hz with Dual Mode, and a 1ms Gray-to-Gray (GtG) response time, fast-paced action remains crisp and fluid. PC gamers will have access to a select library of compatible titles, featuring 3D effects optimized and developed in collaboration with game studios. Featured games like The First Berserker: Khazan, Lies of P: Overture, and Stellar Blade will incorporate added dimensionality enhancing the perception of terrain, distance, and object separation beyond traditional 2D experiences.
Odyssey G6: The World’s First 1040Hz Refresh Rate for High-Speed Gaming

The 27-inch Odyssey G6 (model G60H) sets a new standard for competitive gaming, incorporating the world’s first 1,040Hz refresh rate on a gaming monitor. With Dual Mode and a native QHD resolution reaching up to 600Hz, it delivers professional-level motion clarity for esports, allowing gamers to track targets with greater precision and perceive even the most subtle details during high-speed sequences. When the situation demands it, the Odyssey G6 can instantly prioritize visual quality, offering ultra-sharp resolution, allowing gamers to enjoy visually stunning worlds without sacrificing the extreme performance that fuels competitive adrenaline. With both AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible support, the Odyssey G6 ensures a fluid experience with every frame, more defined colors, and immediate response in every action.
Odyssey G8: A High-Resolution Option in 6K, 5K, and OLED
The Odyssey G8 series will expand in 2026 with three distinct models, each designed to offer a different balance between resolution and speed.

Leading the range is the 32-inch Odyssey G8 (model G80HS), the industry’s first 6K gaming monitor, offering native 165Hz performance and a Dual Mode capable of reaching up to 330Hz in 3K mode.

The 27-inch Odyssey G8 (model G80HF) presents a 5K option with increased sharpness, native support up to 180Hz, and a Dual Mode elevating the refresh rate to 360Hz in QHD resolution for smoother motion.

For users seeking deeper contrast, the 32-inch Odyssey OLED G8 (model G80SH) combines a 4K QD-OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate, glare-free viewing, 300 nits brightness, and VESA DisplayHDR™ True Black 500 certification. Its DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20) port supports up to 80Gbps bandwidth, enabling smooth and stable HDR and VRR playback.
All three models are compatible with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible, ensuring consistent and tear-free performance. Each version of the G8 series offers gamers and creators the flexibility to prioritize a spacious workspace for creation, a greater level of detail for immersive worlds, or deep contrast for cinematic-style images.
According to IDC, Samsung leads the global gaming monitor market with refresh rates exceeding 144Hz, holding an 18.8% revenue share. With the introduction of the new Odyssey lineup, the company is poised to solidify its position as the market leader for the seventh consecutive year.
The complete Odyssey 2026 monitor lineup will be showcased at CES 2026, taking place in Las Vegas from January 6-9, where attendees will be able to experience these new displays firsthand.
