Runners who earned a medal at the 100th International São Silvestre Race, the historic event held on December 31, 2025, can now have their medals engraved for free at select locations in São Paulo. Personalization of the commemorative medal is available starting today, January 2, 2026.

In partnership with ASICS, Netshoes is offering medal engraving at the Galeria Magalu, located in Conjunto Nacional, at Avenida Paulista, 2073 (access via Consolação or Paulista metro stations). The service includes medal personalization with the athlete’s name and race time, as well as a themed photo reveal. Dates and times: January 2, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and January 3 and 4, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Keep Running, a running specialty store at Avenida Sena Madureira, 92 (access via Vila Mariana metro station), is also offering free medal engraving for a limited time. “São Silvestre Medal Engraving: a Keep Running courtesy for runners,” the company states. “From 01/02 to 01/10.” Store WhatsApp: +55 11 98806-1019.

However, not all runners received a medal from the 100th São Silvestre: some participants found that medals had run out after completing the 15km course on Avenida Paulista – a situation that should not have occurred, as there should have been medals for all registered finishers.

The event organizers, Fundação Cásper Líbero (owner) and Vega Sports (contracted company), are investigating the issue. Additionally, some runners in the back of the pack reported a lack of water at certain points along the course.

On Tuesday, December 30th, race shirts were also unavailable at the São Silvestre Expo. “Organizers assure that all registered participants who did not receive a shirt will receive one throughout January – after contact to confirm shipping details,” they stated on December 30th.

According to the timing company, ChipTiming, 53,468 people completed the 15km of the centennial edition of São Silvestre. Fewer than 2,000 runners did not participate or finish the race, resulting in a high attendance rate of over 96.5%.
