“They Worked Really Hard”

Klungnes has cherished a strong connection to Ozzy and his music since her youth, and says she’s been fortunate enough to see him perform live. His unique voice and singing style immediately evoke feelings and memories for her.

“The day he passed away, I was on the train coming home from vacation, and after I dried my tears, it was clear to me that I wanted to honor him by having the school choir open this year’s Christmas concert with ‘Dreamer’,” she explained. “The theme then became ‘Christmas Dreams.’”

“Ozzy Osbourne will go down in music history as a very important artist for the heavy metal genre, and he also leaves behind many powerful ballads with beautiful messages. ‘Dreamer’ is a wish that we can respect each other even if we are different and take care of our planet so that it is livable for those who come after us. This theme is more relevant than ever and engages the children.”

The kids think this is very exciting and for the third year in a row, they have sung in the Christmas season for a full church.”
