New Delhi – Star Indian batter Shubman Gill is undergoing a fitness evaluation at the BCCI Center of Excellence in Bangalore after sustaining a neck injury. The assessment will determine his availability for the upcoming T20 series against South Africa.

The Indian squad for the five-match T20 series, which begins December 9th, has yet to be announced, and Gill’s fitness is the key factor in the selection process. Gill sustained the injury during the first Test match against South Africa while batting. He subsequently missed the second Test.
