Bulgarian First league club Spartak Varna has announced the departure of goalkeeper Iliya shalamanov-Trenkov, effective promptly.The move comes as the 24-year-old player, a product of CSKA Sofia’s youth system, seeks to reunite with his family in Australia and pursue opportunities to continue his professional career abroad. Shalamanov-Trenkov appeared in two Bulgarian Cup matches this season for the “falcons,” and the club has expressed gratitude for his contributions during his time with the team.
Spartak Varna and goalkeeper Iliya Shalamanov-Trenkov have mutually agreed to part ways, the Bulgarian club announced today. Shalamanov-Trenkov featured in just two matches for the “falcons” this past fall, both in the Bulgarian Cup – a 3-1 victory over Yambol and a 2-0 loss to Botev Plovdiv at “Korito.”
The goalkeeper, a product of CSKA Sofia’s youth academy with six appearances for the “reds’” second team, plans to return to Australia with his family and continue his football career there.
