Climate activist Roxy Farhat, who disrupted a performance at Sweden’s national theater, has been invited back to the Royal Dramatic Theatre for a discussion. The invitation follows an incident last week when Farhat interrupted the play “Rage” by taking the stage with a banner.
Now, Farhat, who is likewise a director and artist, will participate in a panel discussion at the theater. The conversation will focus on the distinctions between art and activism, a topic that has gained increasing relevance in contemporary cultural discourse.
Joining Farhat will be Mattias Andersson, the artistic director of Dramaten and Karin Petterson, the culture editor of Aftonbladet. The panel aims to explore the intersection of artistic expression and political action, offering a platform for diverse perspectives on the role of art in society.
