Norway’s proposed national budget is facing a critical hurdle as the Socialist Left party (SV) has announced it will not support the plan, citing concerns over a lack of parliamentary majority. Party leader Kirsti Bergstø sharply criticized Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, arguing the budget was rushed forward despite insufficient consensus. The disagreement centers on SV’s demands for political changes not currently included in the proposal, potentially throwing the budget’s passage into uncertainty.
