The Swiss business magazine *Bilanz* has released its annual list of the 300 wealthiest people in Switzerland, revealing approximately a dozen new entries this year. Five of those individuals have now reached billionaire status.

Andrea Pignataro: $28 – $30 Billion

Topping the list of new billionaires is Andrea Pignataro, with a net worth estimated between $28 and $30 billion. He ranks third overall on the Swiss wealth list. Pignataro began his career as a trader at Salomon Brothers before founding ION Group in the United Kingdom in 1998. The firm specializes in financial data and trading software, and he also holds a diverse portfolio of real estate, including luxury villas and hotels, residing in St. Moritz.

Pietro Gussalli Beretta’s fortune stems from both firearms and wine. The Roche-owning families – Hoffmann, Oeri, and Duschmalé – follow with $30 to $31 billion, closely trailed by newcomer Andrea Pignataro at $27 to $28 billion.
