Thunder Win 10th Straight, Pistons Secure East Lead – NBA Updates

Oklahoma City Thunder extended their winning streak to ten games with a 113-108 road victory over the Orlando Magic on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. The win solidifies the Thunder’s position atop the Western Conference and secures their playoff berth.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continued his remarkable scoring run, reaching at least 20 points for the 129th consecutive game. He led all scorers with 14 of 27 field goals made and nine of 11 free throws, finishing with 35 points, five rebounds, two assists, and four steals.

Chet Holmgren added a strong performance for the Thunder with 20 points and 12 rebounds, while Isaiah Joe contributed 16 points.

Despite a strong effort from Paolo Banchero, who posted 32 points and 10 rebounds, the Magic were unable to overcome the Thunder’s dominance. Desmond Bane added 16 points for Orlando.

With a record of 54 wins and 14 losses, the Thunder are now the first team in the league to clinch a playoff spot and maintain their lead in both the Western Conference and the entire NBA. The Magic, with a 38-30 record, currently hold the sixth position in the Eastern Conference.

In another game, the Detroit Pistons, currently leading the Eastern Conference, defeated the Washington Wizards 130-117 on the road.

Jalen Duren was the standout performer for the Pistons, recording 36 points and 12 rebounds. Danis Jenkins contributed with 15 points and seven assists. For the Wizards, Babb Harrington led the scoring with 30 points.

The Pistons now boast a record of 49 wins in 68 games, maintaining their first-place standing in the Eastern Conference. The Wizards, with a record of 16-52, are in 15th place and have been eliminated from playoff contention.
