Japanese developer Falcom has announced that Trails in the Sky the 2nd will launch on September 17, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
The full remake of the second chapter in the Trails series follows the successful release of Trails in the Sky the 1st, which debuted in September 2025. Pre-order customers will receive a download code for the original The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky FC as a bonus.
In addition to the game, Falcom is offering a special “Traurobos Box” limited edition that includes a memorial soundtrack selection, a downloadable costume featuring a fluffy sheep-themed outfit, a Blu-ray of the Trails in the Sky animation, and a comprehensive character guidebook.
The announcement confirms the game’s place as the second installment in Falcom’s ongoing effort to remake the beloved Trails saga with updated visuals, refined combat systems, and expanded storytelling across the Liberl Kingdom.
