Twenty-three children in the Bursa province of northwestern Turkey have been hospitalized after experiencing abdominal pain and nausea, local health authorities reported Monday, November 25, 2025.
According to a statement posted on X by the Bursa Provincial Directorate of Health, the 23 students, all attending Soloz Elementary School, had consumed chicken schnitzel and pasta prepared by students at the Erenler Vocational High School for Girls in the Orhangazi district.
The affected students were transported to a hospital for treatment, and their overall condition is currently reported as stable, the statement indicated.
Following the incident, teams from the district health and agriculture and forestry directorates were dispatched to both schools to collect water and food samples and conduct an epidemiological investigation, according to the statement.
