Abu Dhabi, UAE – Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, received Sheikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, on February 13, 2026, for a fraternal visit.
During the meeting, which took place at the Al Shatie Palace in Abu Dhabi, the leaders exchanged cordial greetings and well wishes ahead of the upcoming month of Ramadan, praying for it to bring goodness and blessings to both nations and their people.
Sheikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa conveyed the greetings of his brother, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, along with wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the UAE and its people. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed reciprocated with his greetings to the King of Bahrain and his hopes for further advancement and growth for Bahrain and its people.
The discussions centered on the deep-rooted historical ties between the UAE and Bahrain, and collaborative efforts to strengthen these bonds in ways that serve mutual interests and benefit the citizens of both countries. This meeting underscores the strong relationship between the two Gulf states.
Both sides affirmed the ongoing development of Emirati-Bahraini relations at all levels, and their shared commitment to elevating cooperation, particularly in areas that support the development priorities of both countries and promote their aspirations for a more prosperous future. They also addressed a number of issues of mutual concern and exchanged perspectives.
Present at the meeting were Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Zayed Charitable Foundation; Sheikh Dhiyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Martyrs Affairs; and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Private Affairs, along with several Sheikhs, ministers, and senior officials.
Also in attendance was the delegation accompanying Sheikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, including Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister; Field Marshal Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior; Sheikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Royal Court; and Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, as well as a number of Sheikhs, ministers, and senior officials from Bahrain.
Sheikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa arrived in the country earlier on February 13, where he was received at the Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi by Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and a number of ministers and senior officials.
