Ukrainian president volodymyr Zelenskyy is nearing completion of a revised peace plan with European advisors, anticipating its delivery to the United States as international mediation efforts intensify. the plan, reportedly reduced from 28 to 20 points, aims to find a compromise in the ongoing conflict with Russia, though notable disagreements remain, notably regarding territorial issues. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced Monday that a revised peace plan, brokered with the assistance of European advisors, is nearing completion and expected to be sent to the United States. The development comes as international efforts to find a resolution to the ongoing conflict with Russia continue.
“The NSA (National Security Advisors) will be working on the final version of the plan, which Umierov brought – the NSA of Europeans with Ukraine. I think the plan will be ready tomorrow, roughly around this time in the evening,” Zelenskyy said in a message to journalists via WhatsApp. “There were 28 points, now there are 20. We have aligned this direction and, frankly, the points unfavorable to Ukraine have been removed. The Americans are fundamentally inclined to find a compromise. Of course, there are difficult issues regarding territory. No compromise has yet been found on this matter.”

Ukraine Anticipates Need for Billions in Aid
Zelenskyy also stated that former U.S. President Donald Trump is determined to end the Russia-Ukraine war and praised the efforts of Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, within the American negotiating team.
According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine requires approximately $800 million to purchase American weaponry planned for acquisition this year with the aid of European allies. He reiterated that Kyiv will need around $15 billion next year for the PURL program, which involves procuring U.S. arms using European funds.
The Ukrainian President expressed skepticism about China’s willingness to facilitate an end to the conflict. “Of course, China is a strong country, a strong economy, and, most importantly for us, the influence that China has on Russia, and personally on Putin. However, with all due respect to the Chinese people, history, and culture, I must honestly say that I do not see that the end of this war would be beneficial for China,” Zelenskyy explained.
Zelenskyy believes that a weak or defeated Russia is not in China’s current interests, as a new U.S. security doctrine clearly positions the two major powers and economies in opposition to one another.
The President announced plans to travel to Italy on Tuesday for a meeting with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. He also indicated a large coalition meeting will be held later this week.
On Monday, Zelenskyy held talks in London with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. He then traveled to Brussels in the evening for meetings with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Council President Antonio Costa, and NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte. The focus of all these discussions was the ongoing U.S. efforts to reach a peace agreement in the war between Russia and Ukraine.
