Vandalism has caused significant damage to a school in Bjørnafjorden, with police confirming multiple broken windows and interior destruction.

According to authorities, the incident occurred on Saturday evening, prompting an emergency response after a municipal representative reported the damage. Police arrived at the scene and began an on-site investigation, confirming that several buildings on the school grounds were targeted.

Operations leader Frode Kolltveit stated that 18 windows were shattered across three different buildings. In addition to the broken glass, police reported that fire alarms were triggered as a result of the damage, and investigators found evidence that individuals had entered the school and damaged data equipment inside one of the rooms. It remains unclear whether any items were stolen.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen suspicious individuals or vehicles near the school during Saturday evening to come forward with information. Investigators are particularly interested in tips that could help identify those responsible for the act.

The extent of the damage beyond the broken windows and equipment is still under assessment, but officials have described the vandalism as extensive. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
