Rio de Janeiro – Carnival preparations are in full swing as samba schools across Rio de Janeiro held technical rehearsals Monday night at the Sambadrome.Influencer Virginia Fonseca made a highly anticipated debut as muse of the Grande Rio samba school‘s battery,drawing significant attention and a large crowd to the event.The rehearsals provide a critical prospect for schools to finalize choreography and logistics ahead of the official Carnival parades.

Virginia Fonseca turned heads during a technical rehearsal for the Carnival parade, making her debut as muse of the Grande Rio samba school’s battery. The influencer arrived accompanied by a security detail and showcased her samba skills in her first public appearance at the Sambadrome.

Fonseca’s arrival sparked a frenzy as she made her way from the Arpoador suite – traditionally the preparation area for Grande Rio muses and the battery queen – to the rehearsal concentration area in sector 5. Surrounded by security, she navigated a crowd of fans and onlookers eager for photos and videos.

Speaking with UOL, Fonseca shared her excitement about her Sambadrome debut and admitted to some nerves. “It’s here,” she said. “I’m happy. I’m a little nervous. Let’s see how it goes, but I think it’s going to be wonderful. God is with us. It’s going to be incredible.”

Beija-Flor closed out the night, featuring well-known faces like Giovanna Lancellotti, Samuel de Assis, and their battery queen, Lorena Raíssa. The school presented the theme “Bembé do Mercado – Nos caminhos da fé e da liberdade,” which explores the largest Candomblé street celebration in the world, held in Bahia.
