He was unable to participate in World Cup qualifying matches against Poland and Lithuania due to minor issues. Fortunately for Ajax, the injury appears to be minor, and Weghorst has been training normally with the team, according to Grim’s press conference remarks reported by Voetbal International.
Weghorst’s return is a significant boost for Ajax, as he is currently the only fully fit striker in the squad.
