Windrose, a recent survival adventure game from Taiwanese developer 4Pals, has drawn massive player interest since its launch, with over 100,000 concurrent users logging in shortly after release. The sudden surge overwhelmed the game’s servers, prompting the developers to issue a public appeal for technical assistance.
The game, titled Windrose: Voyage of Beginnings, entered early access on Steam on April 14, 2024, introducing a new cooperative naval combat mode centered around ship-based battles. Within 48 hours of launch, sales surpassed 500,000 copies, marking one of the strongest indie debuts of the year.
Despite the commercial success, the influx of players exposed critical infrastructure limitations. Officials from 4Pals confirmed that server capacity was exceeded during peak hours, leading to widespread connectivity issues and long wait times. In a statement shared across social media and gaming forums, the team asked the community: “Is there anyone who can facilitate fix the servers?”
