the age-old question of what lies beyond death has prompted countless philosophical and spiritual inquiries. Now, one woman is sharing her account of experiencing what she believes is a glimpse into the afterlife – not once, but three times. Norma Edwardson, 80, of an undisclosed location, has recounted a series of near-death experiences beginning in her twenties, detailing journeys through darkness and light, and encounters with deceased loved ones and spiritual beings, as first reported by The Sun. edwardson now dedicates her time comforting others facing end-of-life challenges, bringing a unique viewpoint informed by her profound personal experiences.

The question of what happens after death has captivated humanity for millennia. For Norma Edwardson, an 80-year-old woman, it’s a question she believes she’s glimpsed the answer to – not once, but three times. Her experiences, involving clinical death and what she describes as journeys to another realm, offer a unique perspective on mortality and have brought her peace, as well as a calling to comfort others facing the end of life.

Edwardson first encountered the threshold of death in her twenties, when she collapsed on her way to work. Doctors discovered a life-threatening condition – a deceased fetus – and rushed her into surgery. It was during this first near-death experience that she says she began to separate from her body.

According to Edwardson, she floated above the operating room, observing the medical team working to revive her. She reports an immediate cessation of pain, replaced by a profound sense of calm. She then found herself traveling through a dark tunnel at incredible speed, culminating in an intensely bright light. “I wasn’t scared. When I connected with the light, I felt absolute love and bliss,” she recounts.

A Life on Review

During her near-death experience, Edwardson claims she witnessed a vast screen displaying her life. She describes seeing three distinct segments: the life she had planned before birth, the life she actually lived, and the outcome. “With each one, it showed that the goal wasn’t fulfilled,” she explained. She then found herself near a river, where she was greeted by familiar spirits, including her deceased aunt. Her aunt reportedly told her it wasn’t yet her time and that she needed to return to Earth with a clear message: life continues after death.

The return to her body, she says, was intensely painful. Upon regaining consciousness, her senses were heightened, and she felt disoriented for some time. Despite this, Edwardson maintains that this experience fundamentally altered her perspective on life and death. The development underscores a growing interest in near-death experiences and their potential impact on understanding consciousness.

She Experienced It Multiple Times

Edwardson again found herself on the brink of death in November 2024, when she suffered a cardiac arrest at home. She says she anticipated what was happening and re-experienced similar sensations to her first encounter. However, medical professionals were able to resuscitate her before she fully “crossed over.” Shortly after, she experienced another episode of clinical death. This time, she says she felt the presence of a being she believes was an angel, and received the same message – her work on Earth was not yet complete.

Now 80 years old, Edwardson works in communities for seniors, providing comfort to those nearing the end of their lives. She believes her own experiences uniquely equip her to offer solace and peace to those who fear death. “I’m not afraid of death. I know it’s not the end,” she asserts. She believes the soul doesn’t die and that passing from life is simply a transition to another form of existence. She encourages those she works with to appreciate each day and every breath. “As long as we have breath, we have the greatest gift. And when it’s time to leave, there’s nothing to fear,” concludes the woman who believes death is merely the beginning of a new journey. She shares her story as reported by The Sun.
