Wossala Rozina’s Father: Search for Unknown Siblings & 85th Birthday

The Wossala family may be larger than they thought. Gastronomic personality Wossala Rozina recently revealed on a Hungarian talk show that her family is debating just how many siblings there are, with the possibility of previously unknown relatives scattered around the globe.

Rozina was a guest on Gábor Bochkor’s show, where she discussed her father, Wossala György’s, 85th birthday. The celebrated chef marked the occasion by preparing a 24-hour smoked brisket – a rare undertaking, she noted. She also shared details about her father’s past, describing him as a former “rockstar” who was a champion sailor, having earned multiple Hungarian titles, a veteran world championship, two European championships and an Olympic appearance.

I just call him the Vintage Seedling,” she laughed, referring to her father.

But the conversation took an unexpected turn when Rozina alluded to the possibility of additional siblings. “I’d like to find them,” she said, explaining that the question of family size is a frequent topic of discussion.

There are debates in the family to this day about the number of children. Just the other day, my brother said he thinks we have a brother in New Zealand. As far as I understand, there is one in America. Dad likes to let it hang in the air, it’s incredible that he lets the debate head on. Officially, we have five siblings, but I think there are more. My sisters live in Switzerland, they came with the two grandchildren as a surprise, my brothers are in Germany, my sister lives on Lake Balaton…

Rozina shared that her family currently consists of five siblings, with relatives residing in Switzerland, Germany, and Hungary. The revelation comes as the family actively seeks to connect with any potential, previously unknown siblings, even offering to contribute financially to the search. When asked if these potential siblings were invited to the birthday celebration, Rozina stated:

We would like to find them… So if anyone can help us find the branches of the Wossala family, we would be very happy to put money and energy into it…
