New ‘Predator: Badlands’ Clip Reveals Battles with Alien Flora
A new clip from the upcoming film Predator: Badlands showcases a young Yaujta warrior facing off against a legion of plant-like creatures, offering a glimpse into the unique challenges awaiting him on a remote planet.
The ninth installment in the Predator franchise, set in the future, follows a young Predator outcast who forms an alliance with a woman named Thia as they search for a formidable adversary. Elle Fanning and Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi star in the film, directed by Dan Trachtenberg, who previously helmed the critically acclaimed Prey. This latest installment expands the universe with new creatures and a focus on a less conventional Predator hero, as detailed in a recent set visit report.
Predator: Badlands will premiere in a variety of premium formats – including IMAX, Dolby Cinema, and RealD 3D – on November 7th via 20th Century Studios. Fans will have an opportunity to see the film alongside its predecessor, Prey, as a double feature at AMC Theatres on November 5th. The franchise has consistently delivered thrilling sci-fi action, and this new entry promises to continue that tradition. You can learn more about the history of the Predator universe on IGN.
The script was penned by Patrick Aison, who also wrote Prey, and Brian Duffield (Love and Monsters, No One Will Save You). Production is led by Trachtenberg, John Davis, Marc Toberoff, Ben Rosenblatt, and Brent O’Connor. Officials have indicated further promotional materials will be released leading up to the November 7th premiere.
