Hong Kong singer Miriam Yeung is pledging support for victims of a devastating fire that ripped through teh Hong Kong mansion in Tai Po on Wednesday, a five-alarm blaze that displaced dozens of residents. Yeung announced she will donate all proceeds from the opening night of her “Miriam Yeung Live MY LIVE 2025 Concert” series, and also profits from all merchandise sales, to the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals[[1]]. Despite the tragedy, the concert series is scheduled to proceed as planned beginning this Saturday, with adjustments made to reflect the somber mood.

Hong Kong singer Miriam Yeung has announced she will donate all proceeds from the opening night of her upcoming concert series, as well as profits from all merchandise sales, to the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals following a devastating fire in Tai Po. The gesture comes after a five-alarm blaze ripped through the Hong Kong Mansion in Tai Po on Wednesday evening.

“Dear fans and friends,

We are deeply saddened by the tragic fire at Hong Kong Mansion yesterday, and share the grief of all Hong Kong citizens. In these difficult times, ‘Miriam Yeung Live MY LIVE 2025 Concert’ wants to respond to the needs of society with practical action and work together to overcome this challenge.”

Yeung’s six-night concert series is scheduled to begin this Saturday at the Hong Kong Coliseum. After careful consideration with her team, and acknowledging that many fans have already made travel arrangements from around the world, the concerts will proceed as planned with the following adjustments.

“1. Cancellation of flower baskets:

We sincerely appeal to all friends in the entertainment industry and fans to donate the funds originally intended for flower baskets to local fundraising platforms such as Tung Wah Group of Hospitals for disaster relief purposes.”

“2. Donation of opening night revenue and all merchandise profits:

The revenue from the opening night concert, as well as all profits from merchandise sales at all six concerts, will be donated to the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals to support rescue efforts and post-disaster reconstruction.”

“3. Adjustment of performance content:

We have cancelled the originally planned fireworks display and made adjustments to some of the performance content to ensure we can gather with everyone in a suitable state, and deliver warmth and strength through music.”

“Music can heal hearts and unite strength. The organizers, Miriam Yeung, and the entire concert team sincerely thank everyone for their understanding and support, and look forward to working with you to send the most practical help and blessings to those affected by this tragedy with love and action.”
