U.S. News & World Report Releases National School Rankings

A new analysis by U.S. News & World Report, released today, ranks over 103,000 pre-K, elementary, and middle schools across the United States, providing families with data to inform crucial educational decisions.

The top five schools nationally, according to the rankings, are PS 77, New Explorations Into Sciencetech and Math, PS 196, 30th Avenue School, and The Anderson School, all located in New York City. Brooklyn and Queens schools also feature prominently in the top ten, with Success Academy Charter School-Bushwick and The Academy for Excellence Through the Arts earning high marks. Outside of New York City, Lakeville Elementary School in Great Neck, New York, and North Side School in East Williston, New York, also secured positions within the top twenty. Staten Island schools PS 5, Huguenot, and PS 9, Concord, were ranked 14th and 15th respectively. These rankings consider factors such as state assessment scores, student-teacher ratios, and equity data, offering a comprehensive view of school quality.
