Olcay Gulsen Announces Engagement: ‘OMG, I’m Getting Married!’
Entrepreneur and media personality Olcay Gulsen is engaged to her partner, Eelko van Kooten, a record label executive. Gulsen shared the happy news Friday evening on Instagram, posting photos of her modern engagement ring and writing, “I said yes! Not only to him, but to a life full of love, laughter, and growing together. OMG I’m getting married.”
The announcement comes over a year after Gulsen revealed she had fallen in love with van Kooten. She previously told LINDA that van Kooten had been a source of support following the death of her father, noting their connection came about unexpectedly. “Eelko is someone I’ve known for a long time and who has been there for me after the death of my father. That was actually more of a coincidence than planned, but it just shows you that life is full of surprises,” she said.
Van Kooten had hinted at a proposal in the past, telling Shownieuws, “Yes, that should happen sometime,” but added, “But it has to be a surprise, of course, you have to surprise someone.”
The engagement is the latest development in a year of high-profile celebrity news. Gulsen, 45, and van Kooten, 55, have quickly become a prominent couple, and their upcoming wedding is sure to generate significant media attention.
