Festival organizers in Nordreisa face mounting uncertainty after reporting a significant financial shortfall for the 2025 Gorosofestivalen.
According to the company’s own auditor, the event incurred a loss of 2.5 million Norwegian kroner during the previous year, casting doubt on the festival’s future viability.
The announcement comes despite the festival being held under favorable conditions in August 2025, described as taking place in “brilliant sunshine.”
In response to the financial strain, organizers have indicated plans to reduce the artist budget as part of cost-cutting measures.
The Gorosofestivalen is a two-day event focused on popular music and classic hits, held annually in Storslett, Nordreisa.
Scheduled for July 31 to August 1, 2026, the upcoming edition remains listed on the festival’s official website with ticket sales currently available.
While no official cancellation has been declared, the auditor’s assessment has introduced considerable concern among stakeholders regarding the event’s long-term sustainability.
