‘Dispatch’ Season 2 Under Consideration Following Sales Success
AdHoc Studios is now evaluating the possibility of a second season for its hit superhero workplace comedy, Dispatch, after the game surpassed one million copies sold.
During a recent appearance on the Friends Per Second podcast, AdHoc co-founder Pierre Shorette stated that a second season was a “question mark” just three weeks ago, but the game’s unexpected commercial success has prompted the team to “at least think about” continuing the narrative. “I also think that… there’s probably… we’re going to have to at least think about Season 2 now,” Shorette said.
The game, praised as one of the best “Telltale-like” experiences in recent years, launched to critical acclaim earlier this year and quickly gained traction within the gaming community. The success of Dispatch is particularly notable in a year filled with surprise hits like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Arc Raiders, demonstrating a growing appetite for innovative narrative-driven titles.
AdHoc Studios has already announced its next project, a game set within the Critical Role universe of Exandria, but the possibility of revisiting the world of Dispatch remains open. The studio indicated that development on a potential Season 2 is not currently underway.
Officials at AdHoc Studios have not provided a timeline for a decision regarding a second season, but confirmed they are actively assessing the feasibility of continuing the Dispatch story.
One of the founders of AdHoc Studios has confirmed that the massive success of Dispatch means the team will have to “think” about a second season.
2025 has been absolutely stuffed with great games, but most of the stand-outs have been ones that none of us were really expecting. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Arc Raiders come to mind, but for money, the biggest surprise of the year is Dispatch, a superhero workplace comedy that is the best Telltale-like game in a long time.
Ever since the first two episodes launched a few weeks ago, Dispatch has quickly become a big talking point and a surprise game of the year contender for many of us. With that in mind, it seemed likely that developer AdHoc Studios would start considering a second season for the game, which is something the developers have finally addressed in a recent interview.
Dispatch’s Success Could Result In It Getting A Second Season
It Sounds Like It’s Not In The Works Just Yet, Though
As pointed out by Redditor NefariousnessBig7887 on the Dispatch subreddit, AdHoc co-founders Nick Herman and Pierre Shorette recently appeared on Skill Up’s The Friends Per Second podcast. During the interview, Jake Baldino asks the pair if they’ve considered what they’re going to do next now that they’ve “cooked” on Dispatch.
Shorette responds by saying that they’ve already announced a project set in Critical Role’s Exandria, but that Dispatch’s success means AdHoc is going to “have to at least think about” a second season of the game. According to Shorette, that was a “question mark” three weeks ago, but has clearly become more possible now that the game has sold more than one million copies already.
I also think that… there’s probably… we’re going to have to at least think about Season 2 now. – Pierre Shorette
While it’s fantastic news that we’ll probably end up getting more Dispatch in the future, Shorette’s response does suggest that it’s nowhere near cemented just yet and isn’t being worked on right now. It sounds like Dispatch Season 2 is still going to be a ways off if it does end up happening, but we do at least know that AdHoc is keeping it in mind.
