His regimen includes strength training, jiujitsu, and optional accessory work, with built-in rest days. “Since I turned 40, my goal has just been to be healthy enough and move well enough to jump into anything that seems like fun,” Gemdjian said. He recently took up squash, participating in a tournament just a week after his first lesson.

Gemdjian’s typical week includes strength training sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays, incorporating controlled eccentric and dynamic concentric movements. He also coaches and participates in jiujitsu classes on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, with an optional 30-minute strength workout on Fridays.
