Legendary Egyptian singer Hany Shaker is showing significant improvement in his health although receiving treatment at a specialized hospital in Paris, France, according to verified reports from Arabic news outlets and official statements from the Musicians’ Syndicate.
Nadia Mostafa, the official spokesperson for the Musicians’ Syndicate board, confirmed that Shaker is progressing steadily under medical supervision and is expected to return to Egypt shortly. She emphasized that the singer remained fully conscious throughout his surgery and subsequent treatment, dismissing rumors of unconsciousness as “alarming misinformation.”
The health crisis began with severe bleeding caused by colon polyps, which led to acute inflammation. Shaker underwent an initial surgery in Egypt to stop the bleeding, but when the condition recurred, doctors performed a partial colectomy to stabilize his health. The procedure resulted in extreme physical weakness due to blood loss and malnutrition.
He is currently in Paris following an intensive nutritional and physical rehabilitation program designed to regain his strength. Mostafa noted she is in constant contact with Shaker’s wife, who confirmed his steady progress. Kuwaiti media personality Fajr Al-Saeed reported via Instagram that Shaker is scheduled to be moved from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to a private suite by the end of the week, following the French medical team’s observation of his marked improvement.
Despite the extension of his treatment period due to ongoing postoperative monitoring after a delicate surgical procedure on his colon, updates from trusted sources close to the artist suggest that his recovery is progressing, albeit slowly. His medical team has prioritized ensuring full stabilization before approving any return to Cairo, citing the necessity for continued observation to prevent complications.
Throughout this period, Shaker has received an outpouring of support from fans and fellow entertainers across the Middle East. His family swiftly denied earlier rumors of deteriorating condition and unverified claims that he had lost consciousness, with his wife issuing a statement through Nadia Mostafa emphasizing that his condition remained stable and that he was undergoing a structured nutritional recovery program.
Syndicate President Mustafa Kamel issued a statement confirming Hany Shaker’s health is fully stable, and he continues to follow the necessary medical protocol since leaving the operating room successfully. The statement also praised official support for artists, noting Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar’s personal visit to Hany Shaker at the hospital, reflecting state care for its artistic icons.
