Argentina’s Aldana Masset captivated audiences during the recent Miss Universe 2025 competition in Thailand, ultimately seeing Mexico’s Fátima Bosch claim the crown. Despite not advancing to the final 16, Masset has resonated with fans through her candid reflections on the experience. The 25-year-old model, singer, and image consultant shared her emotional response on social media, acknowledging both the disappointment and pride in representing her country on the international stage.
Aldana Masset, the model and singer who represented Argentina in the Miss Universe 2025 competition in Thailand, quickly became a standout from the start. While she didn’t take home the crown – that honor went to Mexico’s Fátima Bosch – Masset has been sharing her honest reaction to the results with her fans.
On Thursday night, the 125 candidates – including Masset – eagerly awaited the announcement of the 16 finalists. Representatives from Thailand, Mexico, and Denmark were among those who advanced to the final stage. However, Argentine fans were disappointed when Masset didn’t make the cut.
Hours after the gala, Masset took to her Instagram, With love: Aldu, to share her feelings. “Todavía lo estoy procesando. Fueron días intensos, meses de preparación y años de sueños. I’m not going to lie, it hurts not to qualify after so much effort and giving my all in every stage. But I also feel at peace, proud, and calm, because I know I left my heart on this journey,” she wrote.
She continued: “Thank you for every message, every word, and every embrace from afar. I’m reading them little by little, and they support me more than you can imagine. Now I just need to rest a bit… I love you all,” added the 25-year-old image consultant from Entre Ríos.
Masset follows in the footsteps of other Argentinian women who have competed on the international stage. Norma Beatriz Nolan was the first and only Argentinian to win the title, back in 1962, but in recent years, Magalí Benejam, Yamile Luján Dajud, Bárbara Cabrera, Julieta García, and Alina Akselrad have all represented the country.
Masset is the first woman from Entre Ríos to be crowned Miss Universe Argentina in the last 70 years, following Hilda Isabel Sarli Gorrindo, known as “la Coca” Sarli, who won the title in 1955.
Beyond the Runway
Beyond modeling, Masset is also a singer and image consultant. She previously competed in Miss Universe Argentina in 2019, and this year marked her return to the competition on a global scale. The Miss Universe competition continues to be a significant platform for aspiring models and performers.
For years, Masset has been pursuing a career in music, and has recently begun writing her own songs. Her YouTube channel features numerous videos of her performing covers of artists like Sin Bandera, Camilo, J Balvin, and Tini, accompanying herself on guitar. “I’ve been singing since I could talk. I also model. I started when I was 13, with my first campaign,” she shared in an interview.
In 2022, she joined the tropical music band Agapornis as their vocalist, following the departure of Melina Brizuela. Masset toured and performed with the band based in La Plata until 2023, when Juliana Gallipoliti took over as lead singer.
“It was a huge learning experience. It gave me confidence and tools to face moments of a lot of pressure,” she recalled about her time with the band. After beginning a relationship with Argentinian soccer player Fausto Vera – who currently plays for Atlético Mineiro – Masset moved to Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
Active on social media, the model shares glimpses of her luxurious lifestyle with her followers, dedicating time to fitness, self-care, and travel. Her Instagram account showcases trips to destinations like Dubai, Egypt, and the Maldives, and she frequently expresses pride in her Argentinian heritage.
