What’s the latest on the offer for Fidalgo at América?
According to David Faitelson, Real Sociedad of LaLiga has made a significant offer for ‘Maguito.’ “There is an important and serious offer for Álvaro Fidalgo from Spanish football,” Faitelson wrote on social media, though he did not disclose specific financial details or the status of negotiations.
Currently valued at 8.5 million euros by Transfermarkt – a slight decrease from 9 million euros in May 2025, but still a considerable jump from the 1 million euro valuation when he arrived at Coapa in 2021 for a fee of 2 million euros – América is likely to demand a substantial fee for the midfielder.

Jardine acknowledged Fidalgo had a difficult Apertura 2025
Since joining América in 2021, Fidalgo quickly established himself as a key figure in the club’s midfield. He has made 225 appearances across all competitions, scoring 22 goals and providing 30 assists. However, the recent Apertura 2025 campaign was one of his least productive.
It marked only the third time in a regular season that he failed to register an assist, and he only managed to score one goal. Head coach André Jardine acknowledged Fidalgo’s struggles, stating, “His last tournament was his worst version since he arrived at América. He is aware of it, he had personal problems, but that doesn’t justify repeating the issues. The most important thing is that I see him back, in his best version, intense, participatory, very creative, that is his hallmark. He is very aware of achieving another objective.”
