Belgian presenter Annelien Coorevits has returned to host the reality dating reveal ‘Temptation Island,’ marking her comeback after a three-year absence from the program. The Flemish star, who previously co-hosted the series with Rick Brandsteder since 2016, will now lead the show alongside Dutch co-host Rijk Hofman.
According to multiple Belgian media outlets including Het Laatste Nieuws, Redactie24 and P-Magazine, Coorevits described her return as feeling like “coming home,” stating that being back at the helm of the popular television program evokes a deep sense of familiarity and belonging. She emphasized that when asked to return, she had no hesitation in accepting the role.
The new season, which features Dutch and Belgian couples testing their relationships in Thailand, will be available for streaming this spring on Streamz in Belgium. While the exact platform details for other regions remain unconfirmed, the show’s return follows its earlier run on RTL and Videoland before being paused in 2023.
Coorevits addressed ongoing controversies surrounding the show’s format, acknowledging past criticisms about psychological impacts on participants while maintaining that the production team does not aim to exploit emotional vulnerabilities. She noted that the show’s enduring appeal lies in its exploration of relationships, temptation, and genuine human emotions rather than manufactured drama for social media engagement.
The returning host highlighted her extensive experience with the format, having presented the show in previous seasons, and expressed confidence that her familiarity with the program’s dynamics will help maintain its connection to long-time viewers while introducing fresh elements for new audiences.
