How Voting Works at Benidorm Fest 2026
The voting system will remain consistent with previous editions, utilizing three distinct voting blocs:
1. Professional Jury – 50% of the Result
· The jury is comprised of eight experts from the music industry, radio, platforms, and cultural management.
· Their assessment accounts for half of the total score.
· In the event of a tie, the professional jury will make the final decision.
2. General Public (Televote) – 25% of the Result
· Public voting will be conducted via SMS, phone calls, and through RTVE Play.
· Only one vote is permitted per person.
3. Demographic Panel – 25% of the Result
· A representative group reflecting the Spanish population.
· Their vote contributes another 25%, balancing the weight of the public vote.
Benidorm Fest 2026 is set to determine its winner through a three-tiered voting process, ensuring a blend of industry expertise and public opinion. The competition, a significant event in the Spanish music scene, will see the professional jury hold the most sway, accounting for 50% of the final result.
According to the established rules, the eight-member professional jury—composed of seasoned figures from the music world, radio, streaming services, and cultural organizations—will deliver a critical assessment of each performance. Should a tie occur, their decision will be final.
The general public will have a 25% stake in the outcome through a televote system, accessible via SMS, traditional phone lines, and the RTVE Play platform. To maintain fairness, voting is limited to one vote per individual.
Rounding out the voting structure is a demographic panel, also representing 25% of the total. This group, carefully selected to mirror the Spanish population, aims to provide a balanced perspective alongside the direct input of the viewing audience. The combination of these three elements is designed to deliver a result that reflects both critical acclaim and popular appeal.
