After more then two decades since its initial release, the cult-classic first-person shooter Blood is receiving a comprehensive remaster. Nightdive Studios is spearheading Blood: Refreshed Supply, bringing the 1997 title to modern platforms-including consoles for the first time-on December 4th. A new “Deep Dive” podcast offers fans a closer look at the enhancements and new content included in the remaster, and also details on pre-order availability and a planned release for the forthcoming Nintendo switch 2 in early 2026.

Nightdive Studios today announced a deeper look at Blood: Refreshed Supply, a definitive remaster of the cult-classic 1997 first-person shooter. Immersed in a Lovecraftian atmosphere and drenched in crimson carnage, the legendary title returns to captivate both longtime fans and new players on PC and, for the first time, on consoles December 4, 2025.

Pre-orders with a 20% discount are now live across all platforms. Starting today, players who already own Blood: Fresh Supply on Steam and GOG can reserve Blood: Refreshed Supply for a 66.6% loyalty discount and upgrade. Blood: Fresh Supply will no longer be available on either storefront after December 4, 2025, and will be replaced by Blood: Refreshed Supply.

Nightdive Studios’ latest “Deep Dive” podcast features Dustin Twilley and Nick Palsmeier, creators of the new Marrow and Death Wish episodes for Blood: Refreshed Supply. The developers discussed their experience crafting new expansions for the iconic shooter and detailed Nightdive Studios’ work remastering Blood for a second time, bringing it to PC and consoles for the first time. Fans can gain additional behind-the-scenes insights into how they expanded the game while preserving its signature gore and sadistic attitude that made it a fan favorite.

Originally developed by Monolith Productions and licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Blood: Refreshed Supply modernizes the classic experience with resolutions up to 4K and unlocked frame rates, local split-screen, and online cooperative play for up to eight players, expanded mod support, and two new mission episodes: Marrow (available at launch) and Death Wish (coming post-launch). This remaster demonstrates the enduring appeal of classic FPS titles and the potential for revitalizing them for modern audiences.

Players will take on the role of Caleb, a resurrected gunslinger, battling through 42 chilling levels against cultists, zombies, and other unholy abominations. His arsenal blends the familiar with the supernatural, including flare guns, aerosol cans, and napalm launchers, alongside more sinister tools like voodoo dolls and the lifeleech.

Licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the relentless infernal madness will arrive on PC (via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store), as well as Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4|5, and Xbox One and Series X|S when Blood: Refreshed Supply launches on December 4, 2025, for $29.99 or regional equivalent. A version for Nintendo Switch 2 will follow in early 2026.

Originally developed by Monolith Productions and released for PC with MS-DOS in 1997, Blood is a legendary first-person shooter known for its Lovecraftian atmosphere and visceral action. Nightdive Studios released an updated edition, Blood: Fresh Supply, for PC in 2019. Now, the studio is back with a definitive remaster featuring additional technical enhancements for modern platforms, including resolutions up to 4K with unlocked frame rates, local split-screen, and online cooperative mode for up to eight players, a Vault with behind-the-development content, and more.

In addition to the original Blood campaign and the Plasma Pak and Cryptic Passage add-ons, Blood: Refreshed Supply includes two new mission episodes: Marrow (available at launch) and Death Wish (coming as a post-launch update). The game promises a substantial amount of bloodshed for returning fans and newcomers alike.

“Since the release of Blood: Fresh Supply six years ago, the demand from fans for this iconic game on consoles has been immense,” said Larry Kuperman, Vice President of Business Development at Nightdive Studios. “Thanks to our partners at Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Nightdive and Atari can now meet that demand and finally bring Blood to modern consoles. But we didn’t stop there. Refreshed Supply is the definitive edition of Blood, with additional enhancements and exciting new content from Nightdive.”

Players of Blood: Refreshed Supply will embody the resurrected gunslinger Caleb in his quest for revenge against the dark god Tchernobog. Once a powerful commander of the Cabal and one of Tchernobog’s “Chosen,” Caleb and his fellow Chosen were betrayed and murdered by the dark god for unknown reasons. Driven by a thirst for answers and vengeance, Caleb rises from the grave to stop Tchernobog and his murderous lieutenants once and for all. Caleb’s arsenal includes a mix of standard and occult weapons, wielded with devastating and bloody effects.

Players will battle armies of bloodthirsty demons, including cultists, gargoyles, zombies, hellhounds, and a host of other unholy terrors. Blood: Refreshed Supply will immerse players in 42 fast-paced levels, where they can mutilate enemies with a ferocious arsenal of weapons. Plus, Blood Buddies can bring the fun to multiplayer, either online or at home in split-screen. Advanced mod support also makes it easy to develop custom fan-created content.
