Following months of silence after announcing their split, Mexican businessman Brian Rullan has publicly addressed his current relationship with Laura Spoya, the mother of his children. In a recent interview with Magaly TV: la firme, Rullan emphasized a continued amicable dynamic focused on co-parenting, despite Spoya’s earlier statements regarding her standards for future partners. The former couple’s situation has been closely followed by Peruvian media outlets since Spoya first confirmed their separation in May amidst speculation of infidelity.

Mexican businessman Brian Rullan has revealed details about his current relationship with the mother of his children, and whether a reconciliation is on the horizon.

Following his split from Laura Spoya in May of this year, businessman Brian Rullan remained quiet regarding his former partner’s statements. Now, after months of silence, Rullan has spoken out, stating they are “better off as friends.”

“Honestly, it doesn’t bother them. The reality is we’re doing well as friends. Ultimately, that’s the most important thing for the kids. We’re understanding what we need to do to manage this situation,” he told cameras for Magaly TV: la firme.

Does Laura Spoya’s commentary affect him?

According to Rullan, he feels his ex-partner hasn’t been making comments directed at him. Spoya previously sparked controversy when she confessed she “can’t be with someone less successful than me.”

Rullan isn’t taking it personally, however. “I’ve told her that, and she’s told me what she needed to say. We’re mature people who have maintained a relationship, and the most important thing is the children (…) Stop speculating, stop thinking things. You don’t know what’s going on,” he added.

“We have a good relationship as parents”

In early July, Spoya clarified that there is a relationship of respect between her and her ex-partner, especially for the well-being of their two children.

“We’re having a good relationship as parents, which is what needs to happen in any separation. It’s the healthiest thing for the kids. I really care about him a lot and hope he does super well,” she expressed to the program Todo se filtra.

Spoya reaffirmed that she would never allow her ex-partner to distance himself from their children and that they have both tried to cope with the situation maturely. “We’ve been friends, we continue to be very good friends. I would never want him to distance himself from my children, I would never do that,” she assured.

How Laura Spoya confirmed her separation from Brian Rullan

In May of this year, Laura Spoya surprisingly announced her separation from Mexican businessman Brian Rullan. The news came amid rumors of marital trouble, including statements from Israel Dreyfus, who claimed to have seen her partying with another man.

“I’m going to try not to break down when I speak because it’s not easy for me. I’m going to say what I feel, I don’t have anything really prepared,” she said, while trying to hold back tears and put on sunglasses.

Though generally considered a strong personality, the former Miss Peru admitted she arrived at the show deeply affected. “I arrived a mess of tears, as you know I’m a very strong person, a pretty tough bone to crack, I don’t cry easily, but there are situations that have overwhelmed me a lot,” she stated.
