Caitlin Clark to Compete in LPGA’s The Annika Pro-Am
WNBA star Caitlin Clark will participate in the pro-am portion of The Annika tournament, an LPGA Tour event, next month in Belleair, Florida.
The 2025 Annika pro-am begins on November 12 and marks the final full-field, regular-season event on the LPGA Tour, boasting a $3.25 million purse. Clark previously competed in the event last year, gaining valuable experience alongside professional golfers like Nelly Korda and Annika Sorenstam. This appearance comes after a rookie season with the Indiana Fever that was impacted by injury, but saw the team achieve its first playoff series win in a decade.
“I had an amazing time at The Annika last November and participating in the pro-am alongside Nelly Korda and Annika Sorenstam, two of the best in the game,” Clark said in a statement. “I’m honored to be an ambassador for a company in Gainbridge that is so committed to elevating women’s sports. I can’t wait to return to Tampa in November to play in the pro-am with the best women golfers in the world.” Clark averaged 16.5 points and 8.8 assists in 13 games this past season, demonstrating her impact on the court even while managing an injury. LPGA Hall of Famer Annika Sorenstam, who will resume her hosting duties this year, praised Clark’s enthusiasm for the sport. “It was an honor to play in the pro-am with Caitlin last year,” Sorenstam said. “The crowds were amazing, and we are excited for her return to The Annika in November. She added such a great dynamic to our event, and her passion for golf and competitiveness were fun to witness firsthand. I look forward to having her back and continuing to introduce the great game of golf to the next generation.”
Organizers confirmed that Clark’s participation will help further promote women’s sports and inspire a new generation of golfers.
