Bulgarian First League side CSKA Sofia has concluded its winter transfer activity with six new acquisitions, aiming to strengthen the squad ahead of the spring season. Following a busy autumn campaign, Head Coach Hristo Yanev welcomed midfielders Isak Sole and Max Ebong, wingers Leo Pereira and Alejandro Piedraita, left-back Andrey Yordanov, and goalkeeper Dimitar Evtimov to the club’s Antalya training camp. Despite pursuing a central defender during their time in Belek, the club will move forward with its current roster as preparations intensify for the Febuary 6th league match against Arda.
CSKA Sofia’s winter transfer window will close without any further additions to the squad. The Bulgarian club was remarkably active following the autumn season, securing six new players for head coach Hristo Yanev ahead of their training camp in Antalya – midfielders Isak Sole and Max Ebong, wingers Leo Pereira and Alejandro Piedraita, left-back Andrey Yordanov, and goalkeeper Dimitar Evtimov.
Despite efforts to bring in a central defender during the camp in Belek, that move will not materialize. CSKA Sofia will finalize their roster upon returning from Turkey, according to reports.
While the transfer window in Bulgaria remains open until February 24, CSKA Sofia’s first competitive match of the year is scheduled for February 6, with a home fixture against Arda at 5:45 PM local time. The team hopes to have a strong, commanding central defender available for that match to bolster their defensive options and increase competition for starting spots.
Changes to the schedule for CSKA Sofia’s final two friendly matches in Turkey were announced on January 22. They will now face LNZ Cherkasy, the current leader in the Ukrainian First League, at 3:00 PM Bulgarian time (previously 4:00 PM) on the main pitch at the Titanic Mardan Sports Complex, instead of the secondary pitch. Their match against Serbian side Novi Pazar will now kick off at 2:00 PM Bulgarian time (previously 4:00 PM) on January 23 at the Titanic Lara 1 field.
On January 22, the team underwent a rigorous physical training session in preparation for their upcoming friendlies. Players completed squats with 60-kilogram barbells, plyometric jumps, and sprints while wearing weighted vests. The afternoon session focused on tactical drills and possession-based play.
