On Saturday, Jasmin Lindstrøm and Naomi Fadlabi published a comprehensive post on Instagram, sharply criticizing “Shall We Dance” and TV 2’s portrayal of hip-hop and street dance culture.
Both are part of the small hip-hop and street dance community in Oslo.
“‘Shall We Dance’ portrays hip-hop and street dance in a way that creates discomfort and provocation, because the representation is so inaccurate that it trivializes a living culture and an entire field of expertise.”
