JAKARTA – Donny Fattah, the bassist for the legendary Indonesian rock band God Bless, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the age of 76.
The news of Donny Fattah’s death was announced through an official post on God Bless’s Instagram account.
The statement confirmed that Donny Fattah died at Fatmawati Hospital in Jakarta.

“Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un. It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of DONNY FATTAH, bassist, one of the founding members of God Bless, our beloved brother, at Fatmawati Hospital in Jakarta,” God Bless wrote in the post, as quoted by Kompas.com on Saturday.
God Bless also asked for prayers for the late Donny Fattah.
“Please forgive any mistakes made by the deceased. May his deeds and all his kindness be accepted by God,” the band added.

In recent years, Donny Fattah had been battling three serious illnesses simultaneously. He was diagnosed with sarcopenia, vascular blockage, and an autoimmune disease.

Sarcopenia is a condition characterized by the loss of muscle mass and strength, leading to a decline in physical function. Vascular blockage, meanwhile, refers to a disruption of blood flow caused by a blockage in blood vessels that can occur in various parts of the body.
