Egypt’s Ministry of Labor Announces Thousands of New Jobs in Construction, Security, and Tourism
The Egyptian Ministry of Labor has launched a wide-ranging recruitment drive for May 2026, opening thousands of positions across the construction, security, and hospitality sectors to bolster the national workforce.

A significant portion of the hiring push is dedicated to the building industry, where 2,600 vacancies in the construction sector. To attract qualified candidates, these positions come with integrated benefits, including free accommodation and three meals per day.
The ministry is also targeting the security and tourism industries with competitive pay scales. Approximately 495 security and guarding roles are available, with salaries reaching up to 10,000 Egyptian pounds. Similarly, the ministry has announced new opportunities at hotels in Sharm El-Sheikh, also offering salaries of 10,000 Egyptian pounds.
Geographically, the recruitment effort is heavily concentrated in Cairo. According to the Ministry of Labor’s May 2026 employment map, the districts of New Cairo (Al-Tagamoa), Mokattam, and Nasr City are leading the way in available openings.
These diverse openings, ranging from security personnel roles to luxury hospitality, underscore a strategic effort to align labor supply with the growing demands of Egypt’s urban development and tourism sectors.
