Employee Arrested After Assaulting Employer Over Misuse of Company Asset
A dispute over the unauthorized use of a corporate vehicle in France has escalated into a criminal matter, resulting in the arrest of an employee following a physical assault on his employer.
The incident occurred in the Tarn region when a business owner, while out for a walk, recognized one of his company’s vehicles being operated by a staff member. The employer noted that the vehicle was being utilized for personal reasons outside of scheduled working hours, representing a misappropriation of company property.
The situation turned violent when the owner confronted the employee regarding the misuse of the company vehicle. The employee allegedly responded to the confrontation by attacking the business owner, delivering several blows to his face.
Following the altercation, the victim filed a formal legal complaint and submitted a medical certificate to authorities to document the injuries sustained. Law enforcement subsequently took the employee into custody.
