Former gendarme Michel Robiquet has released his fourth novel, a novel crime thriller titled The Revenge of Thémis, set between Wissembourg and Strasbourg.
After a recent foray into historical fiction, Robiquet returns to the crime genre with a story that follows Julia, a gendarmerie captain who returns to Wissembourg — where she began her career as a non-commissioned officer. Shortly after her reassignment, she becomes entangled in a case that hits close to home: the dramatic murder of a fellow gendarme.
Robiquet, who spent 36 years in the gendarmerie before retiring, now devotes his time to writing. Originally from central France, he currently resides in Altenstadt. His latest work marks a return to form for the author, blending police procedural elements with regional atmosphere.
