Iran Attacks Israel: Netanyahu’s Office Targeted After US-Israel Strike

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced Monday that it attacked the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The escalating conflict between the two nations follows a recent joint attack by Israel and the United States against Iranian soil.

According to a statement cited by IRNA, the IRGC stated, “The office of the prime minister of the Zionist regime and the headquarters of the commander of the regime’s Air Force were attacked and severely impacted by the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic in the selective and surprise missile attacks of the tenth wave of Khyber.”

The IRGC further claimed that the fate of the Israeli prime minister is “in limbo.”

The group also indicated that “the successful missile attacks by Iran” in the tenth wave targeted the Israeli government zone, adding that further information would be provided later.

The attacks arrive after Israel and the United States launched a joint operation against Iran early Saturday, with the stated goal of “eliminating threats” posed by the Iranian government.

That operation reportedly resulted in the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Jamenei, and at least four other high-ranking military officials.

In response, Iran launched several waves of ballistic missiles toward Israel, as well as against U.S. Bases located in countries across the Middle East. The exchange of attacks raises concerns about a wider regional conflict and the potential for further escalation.
