Kops was diagnosed with cancer at age 14, on July 2, 2021, and has since openly documented her journey with the illness on Instagram. She shared her latest update on Monday, explaining she had recently undergone testing. “I’ve been examined and didn’t receive good news,” Kops wrote alongside a photo taken in a hospital treatment room. She indicated she needs time to process the information and plans to share more details on Tuesday.

Kops described trying to listen, ask questions, and absorb the information. “My thoughts move like droplets along the window. I drift off, experience more symptoms in my mind, say goodbye to family, see myself in a coffin, see all the people at my funeral… No, stop now, Jade. It’s not that far yet. Focus on the conversation and then continue to enjoy every moment, however difficult it may seem. Take it easy, breathe in, breathe out, there’s ‘nothing’ wrong right now.”
Despite the difficult conversation, Kops remained optimistic. “It’s a tough talk, but we discuss a lot that also provides peace of mind. It’s a good feeling that after a few conversations we will soon be ‘prepared’ for what is to come.” In a recent interview, Kops shared how she is currently doing…
