Ryan Murphy’s ‘All’s Fair’ Faces Widespread Criticism

The new legal drama “All’s Fair,” starring Kim Kardashian and an ensemble cast, is being widely panned by critics who are calling the series a significant misstep for creator Ryan Murphy.

The 10-episode series, now streaming on Hulu and Disney+, follows a team of female divorce attorneys in Los Angeles as they navigate high-profile cases and personal challenges. The show features Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts, Teyana Taylor, Sarah Paulson, and Glenn Close alongside Kardashian. However, initial reviews have been overwhelmingly negative, with many questioning the show’s writing and performances. One critic described the series as “existentially terrible,” while another stated they “did not know it was still possible to make television this bad.”

Particular criticism has been directed at Kardashian’s performance as attorney Allura Grant, with one review noting her “complete absence of screen presence” and comparing her acting to that of “Genghis Khan to a peaceful liberal democracy.” The show’s dialogue has also been heavily criticized as being filled with “clunking cliché.” This launch is particularly noteworthy as Kardashian continues to expand her presence in the entertainment industry, and a negative reception could impact future projects. Murphy is known for creating successful shows like “Glee” and “American Horror Story”, making the critical failure of “All’s Fair” all the more surprising.

New episodes of “All’s Fair” will continue to stream every Tuesday, and Disney has not yet commented on the critical response.
