Komoot has released a major update featuring over 100 new enhancements designed to improve the outdoor adventure experience for users of its hiking, biking, and running app.
The update, announced in a release covered by IMTEST, introduces a range of refinements across route planning, navigation, and community features. Users can now access more detailed surface and terrain data, improved elevation profiles, and enhanced filtering options when customizing routes for specific activities such as road cycling, mountain biking, or trail running.
Turn-by-turn voice navigation has been further refined to provide clearer, more precise guidance without distracting from the surroundings. Offline map functionality has also been strengthened, allowing adventurers to download and rely on topographic maps even in areas with limited or no internet connectivity.
The app’s community-driven Highlights feature, which surfaces popular spots like peaks, parks, and local favorites recommended by other users, now includes additional points of interest and improved visibility on the map. Users can continue to contribute their own recommendations to help others discover new destinations.
Komoot continues to support GPS tracking for recording rides, hikes, and runs, enabling users to review their performance and share detailed stories of their adventures with photos and route data.
With more than 45 million users worldwide, the update reinforces Komoot’s position as a leading platform for outdoor navigation and route planning, combining community insights with precise mapping tools to support adventures both near and far.
