Lenovo unveiled a new IdeaTab Pro tablet at Mobile World Congress, featuring significant upgrades over its predecessor. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, designed to enhance performance and speed. A key feature is its larger 3.5K (3520 × 2190) display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a brightness of 800 nits, promising a vibrant visual experience.
The tablet runs Android 16, with the potential for upgrades to Android 18, and will receive four years of security updates. It offers up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, with the option to expand storage via a microSD card. This combination of processing power and memory positions the IdeaTab Pro as a contender in the high-conclude tablet market.
Additional features include a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera, alongside a substantial 10200mAh battery. The device also incorporates JBL-powered speakers. The IdeaTab Pro will be available in Gray and Mint colors, though pricing details have not yet been announced. The extended security update commitment reflects a growing industry trend towards longer-term software support for mobile devices.
