SEVENTEEN’s ‘THE CITY LA’ Brings K-Pop Experiences to Los Angeles

K-pop group SEVENTEEN is expanding its immersive fan experience, ‘THE CITY LA,’ across Los Angeles from October 11-19, partnering with local businesses, landmarks, and ride-sharing services to create unique activations for their fanbase, known as CARATs.

The events include a free Singalong Party at Universal Studios Hollywood on October 14 at 4 PM, featuring lighting in the group’s signature Rose Quartz and Serenity colors, and a lighting display at the Santa Monica Pier’s Ferris wheel from October 15-17. Fans attending the concerts at BMO Stadium on October 16 and 17 can also participate in an Airbnb Passphoto Package promotion, receiving collectible photos with proof of a qualifying California Airbnb stay booked between October 1 and 17. Several local businesses are also participating, including It’s Boba Time, Old Ferry Donut, Ahgassi Gopchang, BAEKJEONG, Melo Melo, and Wanderlust Creamery, offering themed menu items and merchandise. Transportation is also getting a K-pop makeover, with LA Metro displaying ‘SEVENTEEN THE CITY LA’ posters across its K Line, A Line, and E Line stations. Waymo is offering 30% off the first three rides in LA using the code SEVENTEENLA. This widespread activation demonstrates the growing economic impact of K-pop tourism and fan engagement.

The group kicks off the US leg of their World Tour [NEW_] in Tacoma, WA on October 11, continuing to Austin, TX, Sunrise, FL, and Washington, DC. Officials stated that the Airbnb Passphoto booth outside BMO Stadium will operate on a first-come, first-served basis, limited to the first 1,500 eligible guests on October 16 and 17.
