Lost Ark developers announced plans for new in-game content during a live broadcast on March 6, 2026, including a new story arc and an Abyss Dungeon.
The new story, “Kadarrum,” is scheduled to launch on March 11, even as the Abyss Dungeon, “Cathedral of the Horizon,” will arrive on March 18. According to the announcement, “Kadarrum” will introduce a new continent and dungeon, and will kick off a major storyline focused on conflict with the Sekeria faction.
Access to “Cathedral of the Horizon” will be limited to players with an item level of 1,700 or higher who have completed the first part of the game’s ending. Developers indicated the dungeon will be more accessible than previous challenges, such as Serkail. Instead of the traditional Normal, Hard, and Nightmare difficulty structure, “Cathedral of the Horizon” will feature three stages differentiated primarily by level requirements, with consistent difficulty across each stage. The developers stated the difficulty will be comparable to Serkail’s Normal mode.
The broadcast as well included a discussion of future plans for collectible figures, with details expected to be revealed on April 1. This move reflects a broader trend in gaming towards integrating physical collectibles with digital experiences.
The developers acknowledged feedback regarding a previous focus on vertical content in Season 3, and pledged to prioritize diversity in the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG). This commitment to expanding content options signals a response to player demand for a wider range of gameplay experiences.
“We hope you enjoy the new story and Abyss Dungeon that will be updated next week,” said the developers during the broadcast.
