Maxi López welcomed his second child with Daniela Christiansson, a son named Lando, on December 31, 2025. Despite commitments to MasterChef Celebrity (Telefe), the former footballer paused his work in Argentina to be present for the birth in Switzerland.
“31/12/2025 ¡Bienvenido Lando!” López announced on social media. “A very intense year is coming to a close, with so much to be thankful for. My children, my family, new challenges I never imagined, and Lando, who has arrived to complete the team. Happy New Year to all!”
The post quickly garnered well wishes from fans and colleagues. López also shared photos of himself with his newborn, alongside images from his time on the cooking reality show, with Wanda Nara, his pregnant wife, and a glimpse of his upcoming project with the streaming platform Olga.

López announced his temporary social media hiatus to focus on family time. “Hello everyone! Due to the arrival of Lando in the coming days, I will be dedicating myself to being with my family and enjoying time with them,” he posted. “That’s why I will be a little away from social media and leave it in the hands of my team.”
“Wishing you all a happy New Year and may 2026 bring you many good things! We’ll be seeing each other very soon on Olga, and a year of many new projects awaits. I hope you’ll join me. Thank you all and Happy New Year!” he added, expressing his desire to spend time with loved ones before returning to Argentina.

The arrival of Lando, the second child of Maxi López and Daniela Christiansson, marks another chapter in the family’s international story. López previously revealed in an interview with Implacables (El Nueve) that he wanted to choose an English name for his son, following the tradition he started with his first daughter with Daniela, Elle, born in London. “I wanted to give him an English name,” López explained, also noting the inspiration from Formula 1 driver Lando Norris: “The preference for English names has a personal background.”

López expressed his joy in fatherhood: “I love having kids, I love all the time I’m spending with Elle. I’ve practically spent the last two and a half years with the Viking, and now another one is coming, and again, no sleep, being tired, changing diapers, but those are things that fill me with joy and I like them, despite the tiredness.”
The arrival of Lando expands and strengthens the López-Christiansson family, a multicultural unit built on humor, connection, and shared experiences. The new addition is a moment of celebration and a testament to a family that prioritizes closeness and creating lasting memories.
